Hello, and welcome! I’m Remco, a Dutch expat living in Zambia with my wife, Marianne. Our journey in this beautiful country began in 2015, inspired by our shared love for Southern Africa and its incredible landscapes and wildlife. For the last couple of years, we’ve been living in the peaceful Leopards Hill area of Lusaka, surrounded by nature and our lively rescue family of two dogs and six cats.

Before making Zambia our home, I worked as a police officer in the Netherlands, while Marianne built her career in banking. Over the years, we travelled extensively across Southern Africa, drawn by its vibrant cultures, breathtaking scenery, and rich biodiversity. These trips sparked a passion for conservation, and when the opportunity arose to work in Zambia, we embraced it wholeheartedly.
